What is it?
Preciselee Uno is a genetic test for one person. It can help identify a genetic cause for unexplained symptoms, health concerns or developmental differences.
We sequence the person's exome, the parts of their genes that provide instructions for making proteins. The requesting doctor can choose which genes we examine or ask the Preciselee team to select them based on the clinical information provided. We then look for the most likely variants in those genes that may explain the person's condition. We will not routinely report variants that appear unrelated to the patient's condition.
If the test identifies a genetic cause, the result may help guide the person's medical care and clarify what the diagnosis means for them and their family.
Who is it for?
Preciselee Uno is usually requested by a specialist medical practitioner, such as a clinical geneticist, paediatrician, neurologist, or other relevant specialist.
Preciselee Uno may be suitable for individuals with health, developmental, or medical concerns where a genetic cause is suspected. It may be particularly useful when an individual has features affecting more than one body system, or when the diagnosis is not clear from clinical assessment alone.
